At DOWC, we believe everyone deserves the chance to move ahead – and sometimes, that journey begins with simply being able to drive.  For many, a working vehicle isn’t a luxury; it’s a lifeline.

That’s the spirit behind the Fix it Forward Giveaway – our nationwide initiative that funds critical car repairs for individuals nominated by our dealer partners. These are people who just need a hand to get back on the road, and back on their feet.

How it works

Step 1

DOWC invites its network of dealers to nominate one customer who is facing significant financial or personal hardship and cannot afford necessary vehicle repairs.

Step 2

Dealers need to provide details about their nominee’s circumstances – beyond just the repair estimate – to help the selection team understand their needs.

Step 3

The DOWC selection team will review all submissions with care and choose one nominee whose situation reflects the greatest need.

Step 4

Our team will work directly with the service center to ensure all repairs are covered,  at no cost to the winner.

Giveaway rules

Dealer nominations:

Participating dealers may nominate one customer per submission.

Single-entry nominations:

Each individual customer can only  be nominated once throughout the  duration of the giveaway.

Ongoing participation:

Dealers are encouraged to submit nominations on a regular basis, provided each submission features a new customer.

Story requirement:

All nominations must include the customer’s story as part of the submission.

Winner selection:

One winner will be selected at a time by the official DOWC selection team.

Selection criteria:

Winners will be chosen at the sole discretion of the DOWC selection team, based on criteria determined by the team.

Repair coordination:

If selected, DOWC will coordinate directly with the repair facility and cover the full cost of all approved vehicle repairs.
