Fix it Forward

Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

  1. PROGRAM PERIOD: The Fix It Forward Initiative (the “Program”) begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on July 1, 2025, and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on December 31, 2025 (the “Program Period”). The Program consists of six (6) monthly entry periods (each a “Monthly Entry Period”). Each Monthly Entry Period starts at 12:00 a.m. ET on the first day of the month and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on the last day of the month. See chart in Rule #4 below for details. Dealer Owned Warranty Company LLC’s (“Sponsor”) computer is the official time-keeping device for the Program.

  2. ELIGIBILITY: The Program is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of nomination submission (“Nominator”). Clients nominated for the Program (“Nominee” or “Entrant”) must also be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older, and must have a verifiable need for vehicle repair assistance. Nominators must be affiliated with a participating dealer partnered with Dealer Owned Warranty Company LLC. The Program is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of Dealer Owned Warranty Company LLC (the “Sponsor”), their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, representatives, directors, officers, employees, agents, successors, assigns, franchisees, consultants, contractors, legal counsel, advertising, public relations, promotional, fulfillment, and marketing agencies, website providers, webmasters, and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, and children, regardless of where they live and whether biological, adopted, step, or in-law) and those living in the same household (whether or not related) (collectively with Sponsor, the “Released Parties”) are not eligible to be nominated. Participation constitutes the Nominator’s and Nominee’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and to Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Program. Selection of a Nominee is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. Sponsor reserves the right to verify the eligibility of Nominators and Nominees. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

  3. HOW TO NOMINATE: During the Program Period, Nominators may submit one (1) nomination per Monthly Entry Period by: a. Email Entry: Sending an email with the subject line “Fix It Forward Nomination” to fixitforward@dowc.com. The email must include the Nominator’s full name, email address, phone number, affiliated dealer name, and the Nominee’s full name, contact information (email and/or phone number), and a detailed description of the Nominee’s background, hardship, and need for vehicle repair assistance, including the type of repair needed (“Nomination Story”). b. Online Entry: Visiting www.dowc.com/fixitforward, completing the online nomination form with the Nominator’s full name, email address, phone number, affiliated dealer name, and the Nominee’s full name, contact information, and Nomination Story, as described above.
Each eligible nomination submitted will be considered for the applicable Monthly Entry Period’s selection process (“Nomination”). Limit one (1) Nomination per Nominator per Monthly Entry Period. Nominators may not submit the same Nominee in multiple Monthly Entry Periods. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Nominator or Nominee found to have submitted duplicate nominations for the same Nominee or violated these Official Rules. Use of automated systems or multiple email addresses to submit additional nominations is prohibited and will result in disqualification. The Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or invalid Nominations, or for technical issues, including network, server, or website malfunctions, that may affect submission.

  4. MONTHLY SELECTION PROCESS: For each Monthly Entry Period, Sponsor will review all eligible Nominations received and, in its sole discretion, select one (1) Nominee based on the compelling nature of their story, urgency of need, and impact of the vehicle repair on their life. Selections will be made on or about one week following the end of each Monthly Entry Period (e.g., July 31, 2025, for Month 1) and Sponsor reserves the right to extend the Selection date. The Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding. Non-selected Nominations will not carry over to subsequent Monthly Entry Periods. The likelihood of a Nominee being selected depends on the quality and compelling nature of the Nomination Story relative to others received during the Monthly Entry Period.

RECIPIENT NOTIFICATION/VERIFICATION: Potential selected Nominees will be notified via email or phone by the Sponsor within three (3) business days of selection and will be required to confirm their eligibility and provide details about the vehicle repair needed, including coordination with a repair shop. Nominees may be required to sign and return a Declaration of Eligibility & Liability Release and, where legal, a Publicity Release (collectively, the “Declaration”) within seventy-two (72) hours of notification attempt. 2. MONTHLY AWARDS AND PAYMENT: Each Monthly Award consists of vehicle repair services, coordinated by the Sponsor with a designated repair shop in repair costs for the selected Nominee’s vehicle. The total Monthly Award will be determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion. The actual value of repairs may vary depending on the specific repair needs. No cash alternative or substitution of the award is permitted, except by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. Nominee is responsible for any costs that are additional to the Monthly Award amount. The Sponsor will coordinate directly with the repair shop to cover eligible costs. Awards are non-transferable and may not be sold, auctioned, or traded. Selected Nominees must comply with all repair shop requirements. Winners will receive an IRS Form 1099 for the actual value of the award for tax reporting purposes, if applicable.

Any attempt to undermine the Program’s operation, including submitting multiple nominations for the same Nominee or using automated systems, may result in disqualification and could violate criminal and civil law. The Sponsor reserves the right to fully seek damages from any such person permitted by law. If, for any reason, the Program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Program or Website, then the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel the Program and select the winners at random from among all eligible Entries received during each Monthly Entry Period prior to cancellation. 4. RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Nominators and Nominees agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and Released Parties from any liability, claims, or actions for injuries, damages, or losses sustained in connection with submitting a Nomination, participating in the Program, or receiving or using the award. Acceptance of an award constitutes permission for the Sponsor to use the Nominee’s name, likeness, and story for promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. By entering, Entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Program; violates these Official Rules; acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner; or acts with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. The Released Parties are not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications, whether caused by the sender, by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Program which may limit the ability to participate, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the Entries in the Program.
